Registered Nurse (RN) PACU -PRN

North Alabama Medical Center's PACU offers nurses the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where critical thinking and clinical expertise are valued. As part of a supportive perioperative team, you'll play a vital role in helping patients safely recover from surgery while working alongside experienced physicians, anesthesia providers, and nursing professionals. You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support required
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
• Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.
